Capturing something truely unique

My client wanted a thoughtful, functional gift for his fiance, Morgan. She’s one of those people that loves her cat, Inky, more than any person. We decided that a cat-inspired jewelry box would be the perfect gift for her. I asked him for a picture of the cat and made the box specific to her cat. I hear that she was pretty stoked.

Like all of my boxes, it’s made from solid hardwood with premium laser-cut plywood for the top. The inside of the box has two levels for storing jewelry, a fixed bottom layer with larger, deeper divisions for storing bigger pieces like watches and a removable, shallower upper layer. We etched the inside of the lid with the date to make the gift even more memorable.
