Destined for Greatness or Death

Beartooth is one of My favorite bands. Their lyrics always invoke a commitment to bettering one’s mental health and working through mental health issues. Since I struggle with PTSD and Bipolar disorder, Beartooth’s messages are particularly meaningful. Making things, particularly woodworking is extremely therapeutic for me (and I’m usually listening to Beartooth at the same time!).

Recently, I had the opportunity to spend time with the band and made this box as a gift for them. I was able to give the box directly to Beartooth’s lead singer, Caleb Shomo, and see his reaction in person. The box commemorates their album, Disease, by recreating some of the album artwork and the band’s logo. Inside the lid is a lyric, the tour name, and the date and location of the show.

Inside is a bottle of Whiskey from Travis’s distillery, Crouch Distilling located in Columbia, SC. Caleb’s a big fan of the bourbon.
